Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Colvinstown Lower

Situated on a very gentle SE-facing slope above steeper ground on the edge of a stream valley. Circular enclosure hachured on the 1838 OS 6-inch map (diam. c. 35m), of which very slight traces of an earthen bank and an external fosse are still visible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
