What is recorded here

Situated on a SE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area with a bivallate ringfort (TN031-029) immediately to the S. A circular area (diam. 23m NW-SE) enclosed by an earthen bank (H 1m; ext. 1.5m) visible from E to S only, elsewhere defined by vegetation growth where the bank has been levelled. A modern road intersects the bank at S and possibly separates the two sites from each other. Not depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22 September 2008
