Fairy fort in Clogher, County Cork: a 32-metre earthen ring on level pasture above a south-facing slope, its shallow bank and ditch still drawing a circle despite erosion and a widened laneway cut through one side. People may have lived there before the field and cottage took the edge of the ditch, or they may have walked past it and called it a fairy fort because the shape remained when the use had gone quiet.

In pasture, on level ground, above S-facing slope. Circular area (32m N-S; 31.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.9m); external fosse (D 0.8m) SSE->WNW. Bank heavily eroded NNE->SSW; entrance (Wth 4m) to SE. Fosse area WNW->SSE widened to act as laneway between cottage to N and field to S.
