Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cashelgarran is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cashelgarran, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a slight west-facing slope in low-lying wet pasture with moderate to good views in all directions. The structure contains a raised circular area eighteen metres across, enclosed by an earth and stone bank and an external fosse. A northwest break marks the original entrance, while a modern northeast break and underground passage alter the current boundary.
On slight W-facing slope in low-lying wet pasture. Views are moderate to good in all directions. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 18m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.9m; int. H 0.3m) with an external fosse (Wth 4.7m; D 0.4m). A break in the bank at NW (Wth 4m) marks the position of the original entrance. There is a modern break (Wth 4m) in the bank at NE. A Man-made underground passage (SL005-106002-) is built into the bank at NE. A modern field boundary bank of earth and stone lies along the outer edge of the fosse S-NE.
