Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carraun (leyny By., Banada Ed) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carraun (leyny By., Banada Ed), County Sligo, Ireland. The site occupies a low pasture rise and preserves a thirty-four and a half metre circular area bounded by a gap-filled earthen bank, external fosse and partial counterscarp. A lane crosses the north-east fosse edge while a field boundary curves around the south-east arc.
In pasture, on a low rise. A raised circular area (diam. 34.5m) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) SE-E with numerous gaps and by a scarp E-SE. An external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 6m; D 0.5m) is evident all round. The remains of earthen counterscarp bank (Wth 4m; H c. 0.3m) are evident NNE-E. A lane crosses the edge of fosse at NE. A field boundary curves around the SE arc of the rath.
