Boherygeela holds a D-shaped earthen ringfort, twenty-two metres long, where a straight southern edge cuts through flat pasture like a knife through cream. The earthwork appeared on the 1840 map and still shows in satellite images, though the surrounding ditch has partially filled. People may have lived inside its curve or simply marked the boundary between fields and memory. The shape resists explanation, presenting itself as a deliberate cut rather than a natural rise.

In flat pasture, 176m SE of the townland boundary with Dunkip, N of field system (LI031-062001-) and enclosures (LI031-062003/004-). Indicated as an oval-shaped platform defined by a scarp on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted as a sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 18m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by a fosse on the OSi 25-inch map. D-shaped earthwork with straight side (L. c. 22m) at S is clearly visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 in a similar manner to the OSi 25-inch map.
