The precise location of a 'kyle burial ground' within the townland of Rosstemple (Ros an Teampaill / the high place of the church) has not been identified. Westropp recorded the following details; ‘Ross Temple, Kiltemplalain near bruff, 1410, Rostemple. Rosse Temple granted to Charles Ormsby, 1666 (Act. Sett.). Site - A kyle burial-ground, and reputed templary’ (Westropp 1904-05, 431).
