Fairy fort in Ballyteigelea (idrone East By.): ringfort rath, County Carlow, Ireland. Farmyard and sheds have taken much of the ancient edge, yet a stonefaced bank still curves across the northern ground. People may have lived there before humans forgot the shape of the fort, and the fairies may have kept the rest.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Now incorporated in farmyard and considerably disturbed. Delimited by bank with stone facing best preserved NNW-NE (est diam. c. 40m). Bank removed from SSE-S-NNW. Farm sheds on S sector.
