Fairy fort in Ballynaclashy: a 36m circular enclosure with two earthen banks and a fosse, now partly lawn at Glenview Estate. The inner bank still stands an metre high from southwest to northwest, while conifers crowd the rest. People may have lived there before trees took it back, but the fort keeps its own counsel.

According to UCC, circular area (diam. c. 36m) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Arc of inner bank (H 1m) now survives SW->NW. Planted with conifers. A fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballynaclashy is an early-medieval agricultural or defensive enclosure, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy lore, and they were often avoided due to beliefs in supernatural inhabitants.
