Fairy fort in Ballymurphy Lower is a circular earthen ringfort on a south-facing slope above the River Bride in County Cork. Its bank rises three metres externally and encloses a broad grassy space marked by a shallow outer ditch, preserving the shape of an old defended home. People may have lived there, herded animals beside the river, or simply avoided the fort because local stories called it fairy ground. The earth remembers hands even when the names have faded.

In pasture, on S-facing slope overlooking River Bride. Circular area (43m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 3m) with external fosse (D 1.6m), best preserved NE->NW.
