Fulacht fia in Kilclare Upper — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Kilclare Upper holds a fulacht fia beside a ringfort, its burnt stones still scattered across sixteen metres of ploughed earth. People heated water there for cooking, cleaning or ritual, turning ordinary flame into useful heat. The field has covered much of the work, but the dark spread remains visible, waiting for rain or curiosity to reveal how hot that place once ran.

In tillage, on E side of ringfort (CO045-029---). Spread of burnt material (16m N-S; 12m E-W) visible in ploughed field. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
