No visible fort remains at Ballydonohoe, though a hidden chamber or chambered tomb may still lie beneath the grass. The land has kept its shape through every change above it. What was built there has returned to the earth, waiting for memory rather than measurement.

Internal diameter 28m NW-SE This univallate rath has been defaced to the E by a fieldbank. The site consists of a semi-circular area enclosed by an earthen bank and exterior fosse. The enclosing bank is 3.4m-.5m wide and rises to a maximum height of 1.4m externally and .7m above the interior. An exterior fosse can be identified In the NW through W to SW; it is U shaped, 1.2m wide and .5m below the height of the surrounding land. The above description is derived from C.
