Fairy fort in Ballinvoher, County Cork: a circular earthen ringfort above a gentle south-facing slope, now levelled to tillage except a slight rise at the west field fence. The 1842 survey showed a small central feature and a field boundary cutting the enclosure, suggesting the ring served nearby farmland before it was broken open. People may have lived, stored grain or marked territory there, while later workers flattened what they did not understand.

Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with small hachured circular feature at centre of interior and enclosure bisected off centre of E by N-S field boundary; as hachured semicircular arc (S->N) abutting W-side of N-S field boundary.
