What is recorded here
Mnemo records an earthen ring in Ballinvig, large enough for a small household yet without a visible door or house floor. The bank still stands beside ordinary field boundaries, while bushes choke the damp interior. Any person who lived there stopped leaving evidence, but the circle kept its shape through every later change.
In level pasture. Circular area (32.2m N-S; 34.1m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.45m). A NW-SE running field boundary abuts bank at SE, and runs along inner face of bank at SW; another field boundary abuts bank at NW. Interior level, damp and densely overgrown by bushes along margins.
