Fairy fort in Ballinguile, County Cork: a levelled earthen ringfort, about thirty-one metres across, still marked by a shallow scarp and outside ditch in open pasture. People may have lived there, excluded others, and lost the name of the fort to time; the fairies keep what the land still shows.

In level pasture, rising gently to SSE. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; slightly raised, circular area (31m N-S) defined by scarp, most clearly visible N->SSE; shallow external fosse ESE->SSE, with low rise to outside at SE.
