What is recorded here

Indicated is an oval fairy fort in level Galway grassland, thirty-six metres long and nearly thirty wide. Two banks and a narrow ditch enclose the space, while a field boundary now rests on the outer edge. The north-east gap is four metres wide and may be the original entrance, inviting people into the quiet centre rather than keeping them out.

In level grassland. Oval rath (E-W 36.4m, N-S 29.6m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A scarp forms the inner enclosing element from NE to E. The outer bank is overlain by a field boundary from SE through S to SW. A gap (Wth 4m) at NNE could be original.
