Enclosure in Fairhill — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Thirty years of ploughing and rain have reduced the enclosure to a faint square platform, yet it still rises half a metre above the wet ground. A field wall now cuts through what may have been a ringfort or moated hall, turning ancient boundary into ordinary farm line. The place has not disappeared so much as been absorbed, its shape forgotten by the very land that once held it.

Towards S foot of a low hill with a small stream immediately to S. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) as a vaguely subrectangular enclosure (NW-SE c. 80m, E-W c. 75m). Since levelled and all that is now visible is a very faint roughly square platform (N-S 50m, E-W 50m, H 0.5m) standing slightly above the surrounding poorly drained ground. The monument is cut by a field wall at N and S. Possibly a ringfort though its morphology and location also suggest a moated site.
