What is recorded here
Burial Gd. marked a children's burial ground inside a Mayo rath before quarrying erased the earth and memory. The 1838 map named it plainly, while the 1930 edition spelled out whose small bodies slept beneath the grass. The land has forgotten them, but the name still refuses to let go.
In a rath (MA111-030001-). Indicated as ‘Burial Gd.’ on the 1838 OS 6-inch map and as ‘Children’s Burial Ground’ on the 1930 edition. Quarrying has largely destroyed the rath, and no trace of the burial ground is evident.
