What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1903, including pair of cast-iron colonette piers on embossed plinths having polygonal capping supporting wrought iron double gates with rendered outer piers having "Cavetto" capping supporting wrought iron railings. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Lymington House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15603060) with the resulting ensemble not only making a pleasing visual statement in an urban street scene, but also illustrating the continued development or "improvement" of the Lymington House estate by Nicholas Furlong (----).

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
