What is recorded here
Lewis (1837, 73) mentions five 'ancient forts' within the demesne of Glin Castle. Only one of these is known (LI017-020----). The location of the other four is not known and none of them are depicted in the demesne land of the castle on the 1st edition OS 6-inch map.
