Situated in undulating countryside. Marked on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map only. A subcircular area (dims. c. 79m E-W; c. 58m N-S) defined by a scarp (H c. 0.9m). No evidence of fosse or original entrance. Possibly a tree plantation. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
