Enclosure in Ballynahinch (ballygriffin Par.)

In pasture, on a level area with land falling gently to N and WNW in immediate vicinity and land falling to S and E beyond monument. Horse-shoe shaped area (dims. 42m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by remains of a levelled bank (overall Wth 10.5m; Wth at top 3m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.18m) SW-SE and open to S. Interior is dish-shaped sloping up all around from centre. Monument incorporated into field as pasture. According to local information, levelled during spring 1966 and simultaneously levelled linear earthwork adjoining to E. Remains of linear earthwork (long axis NNW-SSE) (dims. overall Wth 8m; Wth at top 4.75m; H at E 0.2m; H at W 0.15m) defined as an earthen bank adjoining/abutting enclosure to E.
