Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (athlone South By., Rockhill Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass-covered area thirty-point-three metres across on a south-facing rise. An earthen bank, partly hidden by whitethorn bushes and partly reduced to a scarp, defines the perimeter. A narrow entrance opens at the south-southwest, while slight traces of a fosse remain at the north-northeast.

On a rise on a S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30.3m NNE-SSW; 29.7m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank with whitethorn bushes (at NNE: Wth 6.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.6m) which is frequently reduced to a scarp (at SSW: H 1.3m), and slight traces of a fosse N-NE. The entrance (Wth 3.4m) is at SSW and field stones lie on the perimeter NE-E-SSW.
