Burial ground in Edmondstown

Edmondstown holds a buried dead field beside Martin’s Fort, where bones and whole skeletons lay exposed in the eastern soil. That much is record, not legend. The interesting part is what the field did with people: it gave up its dead to rain, plough or curiosity, then took them back. A burial ground is not a mystery of monsters. It is a place where human life stopped paying attention to its own shape, and the earth continued the conversation without witness.
