Fairy fort in Edergole, County Leitrim: a small circular scrub-covered enclosure, about twenty to twenty-five metres across, set on the steep SE-facing spine of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge. The 1835 OS 6-inch map marked it as a Fort, though no archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture now. It may have been a rath, a place where people lived, hid, marked territory or simply belonged before the land forgot the shape of their days.

Located on the steep SE-facing spine of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge, with a N-S stream in the valley c. 100m to the E. A small circular scrub-covered enclosure (diam. c. 20-25m) is depicted only on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as a ‘Fort’. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture, but it is probably a rath.
