Promontory fort is a promontory fort (coastal) in Dysert, County Waterford, Ireland. Markus Casey identified this possible monument in an aerial survey as a south-facing headland due south of the Ardmore watchtower. The headland has two straight lines of dense vegetation across its neck, 100-foot sheer cliffs and a small circular depression near the southern point. It slopes gently downward to the south while higher inland ground overlooks it.

Identified from an aerial survey by Markus Casey, who described this possible monument as a S-facing headland, due S of the watchtower near Ardmore, with two straight lines of dense vegetation running across its neck. The headland is surrounded by 100’ sheer cliffs and a small circular depression is visible close to the southern point.
