Gateway, 1863, comprising pair of rusticated limestone ashlar piers on two cut-limestone steps with moulded cut-limestone capping supporting decorative iron lamp holder, iron double gates having cast-iron finials, sections of iron railings on cut-stone plinth having cast-iron finials, and gateway to north-west on four cut-limestone steps having rusticated limestone ashlar piers with moulded cut-limestone capping supporting decorative iron lamp holder. Set back from line of road.
An appealing feature in the streetscape known as Gravel Walk or Mayors Walk exhibiting high quality stone masonry together with decorative iron work enriching the artistic design significance of the composition.
