Stardust Memorial

Stardust Memorial Park occupies twenty-six acres along the Santry River in Coolock, transforming a twelve-century monastic site into a living tribute for the nightclub tragedy of February 1981. Eight thousand broadleaved plants now breathe through the landscape, softening the sharp edges of that sudden loss with continuous seasonal change. The grounds hold a quiet dignity born from years of delayed construction and community patience, allowing nature to perform the healing work that politics initially stalled.
