What is recorded here

Magazine Fort is a brick and limestone bastion in Phoenix Park, Dublin, built in 1735 by John Corneille to store gunpowder after Phoenix Lodge was demolished. Its thick walls, corner bastions and dry moat marked it as a serious military magazine rather than a decorative ruin. British forces occupied it until 1922, then Irish Defence Forces kept it as an ammunition store until demilitarisation in the 1980s. Now partly restored and open for guided tours, it still feels like a place where dangerous things were hidden beneath ordinary park grass.
Magazine Fort is recorded as a castle in County Dublin. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
