PLATFORM RATH in Drummack

PLATFORM RATH

What is recorded here

One platform rath still stands in Drummack, County Fermanagh. It is no longer a complete castle, but the land remembers the shape of the men who turned it into a boundary. They may have watched the valley from that height, judged the weather, or simply refused to leave. The stones do not answer, yet they keep the room where human pride first learned the size of the sky.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
