What is recorded here

Mortons and Dromahair forts face each other across a narrow valley, suggesting two rival households or allied watchers rather than one forgotten village. The land still holds their shapes: shallow ditches, raised banks and level interiors that map thought before steel. People may have herded cattle, hidden goods or simply marked territory there, while others watched from the opposite ridge. The valley did not need walls when its people understood the danger of visibility.

Located on a S-facing slope and within view of the fortified house (LE014-008---) and the 19th-century Dromahaire Lodge, which are c. 530m to the NW. This is a grass-covered circular area (diam. 14m) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m). The monument is bisected by a NNE-SSSW field bank, and is a possible tree-ring.
