RATH in Drumkeenragh

RATH

What is recorded here

Drumkeenragh in County Fermanagh holds a rath, an earthen fort born before Christian times. Its map point marks the centre of a lost human world where walls rose against rain and invasion. The land still keeps the shape of that defiance, waiting for boots to press into soil that has outlasted every kingdom which forgot it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
