In County Fermanagh, the counterscarp rath at Drumgowna still holds its shape against the land. It is an ancient defensive earthwork, the kind of place where danger was expected and prepared for. The name itself suggests a boundary drawn not in ink but in soil, a line between what could be approached and what could not.
