Drumgollagh court tomb in County Mayo still holds three cup marks on the west edge of a roof stone inside its north-west chamber. Someone cut those small bowls into heavy stone during the Neolithic, perhaps marking a name, a gift, or a boundary for the dead. The tomb has stood since people first built it, keeping that quiet gesture exposed while the world changed around it.
