What is recorded here

In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. This earthwork was indicated as a hachured slightly oval mound (diam. c. 10m) on the 1914 OS 6-inch map. When inspected in 1994 it was not visible at ground level. A rath (SL043-001001-) lies c. 100m to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
