What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cavan, a raised circular area thirty-seven metres across enclosed by a low earthen bank. A modern roadway has cut through its northern perimeter, erasing the original entrance and reminding us that human progress often consumes the markers of older life. The remaining bank still holds its shape, suggesting the site resisted forgetting even when roads and fields moved across it.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 37m) enclosed by a low, wide earthen bank and slight remains of a fosse. The perimeter has been levelled from NW-N-NE and replaced by a modern roadway.
