Lisbeg, a small circular enclosure in Dromgower, hid a cave inside its walls when surveyors first marked it in 1842. People lived beside or within that ring, using the hollow dark as shelter, storage or a place to hide when storms or enemies came. The cave vanished from later maps and the whole site was levelled, but the sudden absence makes the hidden chamber larger in memory.

Lisbeg/Lios Beag (small ringfort; KE014-069----) situated two fields SW of a rath (KE014-066----). This circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 and 1916 OS maps. On the earlier edition 'cave' (KE014-069001-) is marked in the interior, though this does not appear on the later edition. This site has been completely levelled and no trace survives.
