Grave Yard in County Meath holds Drakestown parish church inside a D-shaped banked enclosure, with a missing mouth-pulling face once set into a gate pier and a cross-slab lying 130m to the southwest. The place still smells of rain-washed stone and forgotten prayers, as if the dead kept their own hours while the living pulled tongues in jest at the gate.

Located towards the S end of a low N S spur. The parish church of Drakestown (ME012-024----) is within a D-shaped graveyard (dims c. 50m NW-SE; c. 46m NE-SW) backing onto a NE-SW field bank at SE. A mouth-pulling face that was built into a gate pier (Davies 1941, 64-6) is now missing (ME012-024002-). The cross-slab (ME012-023----) is c. 130m to the SW.
