What is recorded here
Situated on the summit of a high ridge in undulating grassland, with commanding views in all directions. A raised oval shaped area (approx. diam. 39m N-S; 34m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks, an intervening fosse and an outer fosse. There is a wide berm (Wth approx. 8m) between the inner fosse and outer bank. There is an entrance gap (approx. Wth 2.5m) in the inner and outer banks at E and a causeway across both the inner and outer fosse at E. The grass covered wall footings of a rectangular house site (WM012-161001-) are visible in the centre of the interior. A second possible hut site (WM012-161002-) is visible along the inside of the bank in NNE quadrant.
