Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dorrary, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low ENE-WSW ridge as a circular grass-covered area 27m north-south. A gapped earthen bank with scrub defines the perimeter, while an outer fosse cuts NW-SE. A four-metre entrance opens at the southeast.
On a low ENE-WSW ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 27m N-S) defined by a gapped earthen bank with some scrub (Wth 3.1m at E to 4.9m at S; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 1m generally to 1.8m at W), with an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.9m at N to 5m at E; D 0.1-0.4m) NW-SE. There is an entrance (Wth 4m) at SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
