The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dooneen is in County Sligo, Ireland. The raised circular platform spans 27 metres and sits on a narrow ridge in undulating pasture. A substantial earthen bank encloses the space, while a disused limestone quarry at the south approaches within one metre of the structure.

Situated on a narrow E-W ridge in undulating pasture. Raised circular platform (diam. 27m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank (Wth 4.6-5.6m; int. H 0.7-0.9m; ext. H 1.4m at E, 2.2m at W). At the external foot of the bank at SW-NW is a fosse (Wth 3m; ext. D 0.9m) with a low counterscarp bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.3m). These latter two features are not evident for the remainder of the circuit. There is a break (Wth 1.2m) in the bank at NE and another (Wth 2.6m) at S. In the interior there is a roughly square depression (max. dim. 4m; D 0.4m) against the inner face of the bank at SW. At S a limestone quarry, now disused, encroaches to within 1m of the rath.
