Indicated is the broken base of a mortared tower on a Clare hilltop, still standing beside an old burial ground. Four steps protrude from one side, leading to a narrow doorway that no longer reaches the sky. The Butlers of Bunahow may have built it, according to local memory, but the upper stones are gone and the true height has vanished. What remains is a rectangle of purpose, cut short by time.

Situated on the top of a hill, c. 55m SW of Doonmulvihill burial ground (CL018-033001-). The base of a solid, rectangular, mortared tower (max. H 2.5m; L at SW 3m; L at NW 2.6m). The SE side has four steps protruding and another at the bottom may be missing. The steps lead to the base of a doorway (Wth 0.6m) through a wall (T 0.6m) indicating that the tower was higher originally. It may have been built by the Butlers of Bunahow (pers. comm. T.
