Seventeen hut sites cluster around the Lissachiggel ringfort in Doolargy, forming a dense domestic settlement rather than a single isolated home. The multiplicity suggests a thriving community where several families lived, worked and raised children within the same defensive perimeter. These were not temporary shelters but permanent residences where generations likely learned the rhythms of the land, passed down stories and sustained the local population through changing seasons.
