What is recorded here

Sixteen sibling huts circle the Lissachiggel ringfort in Doolargy, County Louth. This is the seventeenth, a small chamber cut into the earth beside the fort wall. It may have housed a guard, a weaver or a family excluded from the central hall. The ringfort demanded breadth; the hut demanded closeness, and both shapes still press against the Louth soil.
