Seventeen hut sites cluster around the Lissachiggel ringfort, suggesting a busy residential settlement rather than a lonely outpost. This particular marker joins the others in a dense domestic circle where neighbours likely shared firelight, food and gossip. The fort did not stand empty; it breathed with ordinary life, turning raw stone into a working home for people who loved the place enough to return repeatedly.
