Donagh graveslab: John Sanders died 25 June 1666, his name cut in false relief on a stone now lying outside the old mortuary wall. The chamber vanished or moved, but his date remained sharp while the church around it blurred into grass and memory.
Located c. 3m outside the W wall of the mortuary enclosure on the site of the medieval parish church of Donagh (MO007-007001-). The graveslab (L 1.77m; Wth 0.83m; T 0.13m) has an inscription in false relief: HERE LYETH THE / BODY OF IOHN / SANDERS DEC / EASED THE 25 / IVNE 1666. (Shirley 1879, 295; McCarney 1957, 201)
