Lismoreen is a circular earthen ringfort in County Cork, Ireland, where a ruined lime kiln still stands inside the bank and a possible underground passage disappears into the earth. Cows graze above it now, but the stones and soil suggest people once fired lime, built roads, and hidden chambers beneath an ordinary field. The fort does not demand belief; it waits for attention, holding its shape against pasture, weather, and forgetting.

In pasture, on ESE-facing slope. Circular raised area (31m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.1m; ext. H 3m) E->W; low scarp elsewhere. Fosse (D 1.6m) survives externally to SW; used as dump for field clearance stones. Bank stone-faced internally ESE->W; ruined lime kiln inscarp to NE. Interior slopes gently down to E; posible Man-made underground passage (CO082-052002-). Roadway skirts enclosure W->ESE. Field fences to S of enclosure levelled.
