Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Danesfort, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass-covered area thirty-four metres wide on a gentle slope overlooking the River Shannon. A low scarp defines the perimeter, while a field bank circumscribes the eastern edge. Another enclosure sits one hundred and fifty metres to the north.
On a gentle SE-facing slope overlooking the River Shannon, c. 200m to the E. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34m E-W; 32.5m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m W-NW to 0.7m at E). A field bank circumscribes the perimeter at SE. Enclosure (RO011-050----) is c. 150m to the N. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
