Dalkey Cross stands at the north end of the town, a Tau head set into the south wall of a raised graveyard where Castle Street meets Ormeau Dive. OPW workmen pulled the fragment from the earth in 1964, revealing a marker that had likely guided prayers long before modern roads carved the landscape. The stone does not claim a date or a master, yet its sudden emergence suggests human hands once shaped that junction for worship, memory or warning.

Situated at the N end of Dalkey town at the junction of Castle Street and Ormeau Dive. The cross is located is within a rectangular walled-in graveyard raised above the level of the road.
