Gateway, extant 1841, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of roughcast piers having cut-limestone shallow pyramidal capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron double gates with roughcast outer piers having cut-limestone shallow pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of D'Loughtane House.

A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 22903708) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the D'Loughtane House estate.
